Dance provides me with a continuous exploration of my body and a vast understanding of the depth of its possibilities. For me, having the freedom to challenge my body’s limitations is an exhilarating sensation. A simultaneous instance of finding, and losing myself, allows my movement to inform and manifest my truest self.

 

My hope is to use multimedia art as well as the human form to understand societal expectations and their institutions. Through the use of choreography and dance films, I aspire to create art installations accessible to communities. I also hope to challenge the relationship between audience member and performer through interactive movement and conversation. I intend to create works that strike controversy and dialogue, which in my opinion, are the initial stages for educating. As an artist, I can’t help but reflect the times. Thus, my art will serve to critique our society and our roles within it.
